Our Labor Day 2007

Our Labor Day was NOT our normal 'day off'......everyone was still hard at work trying to get this roofing project closer to completion! Steve and the guys worked through intense heat and kept plugging along! I'm amazed by how they just keep going and going! Currently, the project is a little over 1/2 way done and Steve will be taking off tomorrow to try to bring it to completion. Most of the hard, hard stuff is done, so hopefully we'll be done soon. We can; however, see a light at the end of the tunnel! :)

Brennan was a huge help carrying up shingles to the guys. He loved it!

Kenny is up WAY TOO HIGH, I'm thinking! What's worse -- Brennan was the one taking these photos! YIKES!

And, my honey is up way, way too high, don't 'ya think????? Wowsies!!! Don't look down! Notice he's sitting on a foam cushion to help him stay on the roof? Gee - that's safe, huh?!

Nate and Mike finishing up the side.

Another view of Nate and Mike from the top.

We have had such wonderful friends to help us out with this project and our boys have been wonderful helpers as well! We are so thankful for all the help -- we couldn't have done it without everyone! Well, we could have, but it would have taken way, way longer and wouldn't have been near as much fun!!!! :)

Tonight we had some fun!!! We went with four other couples to DJ and Tamara's in Olathe. We all brought food and we ate together and then hung out. Then.......we had a volley ball game! Wow -- haven't done that in awhile and the body doesn't quite move at 34 like it did at 14! LOL We had a lot of good laughs, though, and it was such a fun way to end a very long weekend! :)
