It's official...

....we're now 'official' Kansas residents....we have our temporary driver's licenses! They don't print them at the station, so we got these printouts and we'll get our 'real' ones in about two weeks! LOL

License plates are next on our list, we tried to get them, but they informed us that we needed to bring in our car title, too! Bummer! We're sure learning a lot about how things work when you move to another state! Lots of details! :)

(Edited to add: Steve got off from work early, so he ran home and said, "Quick, let's go get our licenses before the kids get out of school!" Well, I had just finished working out and my hair was in a pony tail to which I objected, but Steve says, "Debi, c'mon -- nobody really looks at your license picture anyway...you look great, let's go." So, we go and then I see his picture where he's not smiling and started laughing and said, "What's up with that? You have a great smile. Why didn't you smile?" and he responds, "Debi, it's just not manly to smile for your drivers' license"! Whatever! We just laughed about it all the way home......the whole afternoon at the station turned into quite the fiasco and the way we looked was just a fraction of it! LOL)
