It's FINAL!

Today, February 28th, 2011, our adoption of Spunky became FINAL!!!! Spunky is now:

Emma Lillian Banderman! :)

We are soooooooooooo excited to have her as a part of our family. Words can't even begin to express all we're feeling! The tears flowed all weekend....such excitement, such relief, such joy. We've been through so much with her the past 6 months and it's so amazing to be at this point of feeling so attached to her, so connected, and just so enjoying and delighting in her. We have pursued her heart so much and to see her responding and allowing us to love her and to see how much her heart is at rest.....can't even tell you how deeply we are feeling all of this!

Today, the court proceedings were amazing. To finally be able to give her our last name and change her name legally.....it was so incredible. To have the judge look at us and officially tell us she is now Emma Lillian and that she is now our daughter..........it was so deep. Words fail me to describe it all at the moment.

I will take time in the next day or so to put words to all I feel, but for now, I simply wanted to share and let you all know that we have a new daughter. We love her with all that we are and could not have imagined a more 'perfect' little girl, who fits so 'perfectly' with our family. She will always know she's adopted, but more importantly, she will always know she is loved by so many people!!!
