Brennan got his full set of braces........and complained about them the entire way home! He was so excited to get them, but is not thrilled with 'how they feel'; 'how they make his lips look so big'; how his mouth feels so full' and on and on and on. Thankfully, he has a high pain tolerance.
Poor guys...but, 'poor mama' for having to listen to their whining when I just sat in the waiting room for 2 hours and drove through pre-rush hour traffic, not to mention the thousands of dollars we're spending on their behalf! LOL
So......it could be a long night! LOL Thus far, the Tylenol seems to be kicking in and they both wanted Ramen noodles for supper! LOL
Brennan goes back next week to have 4 teeth pulled...fun times.
Nate goes back next week to have a 'bracket' and possibly the top teeth fit with braces, too, fi there's time, otherwise we'll be back for yet another visit....fun times.
Yes.......this is our lot in life for awhile! LOL I'll be glad when all this is over and we're on to the normal once a month ortho visits! ;) And we'll all be glad in a couple years when we'll look back and be glad this season is over......but thankful and glad we had it done! :)

Ow. Seriously...looking at those pictures makes my teeth ache! It's still a very vivid memory of the first week of braces and the constant dull ache that accompanies them. And lucky me, I got to suffer thru all that not once, but twice.
In a few years we'll be in your shoes---my dentist told me to start saving for the little ones' teeth straightening.
We have been fortunate regarding the pain. The girls did super and never really did have much pain. Although wax was their best friend through most of it. It seemed I was always buying more. Austin on the other hand has rarely used wax. He was pretty miserable for the first week, but been fine since then until this last visit when they were finally able to attach brackets to 2 teeth that they can finally start pulling down. He said that was painful as it feels like someone is pulling on his teeth. Tylenol & Advil have been our friends through all 3 kids, so as long as you keep those and wax on hand, you'll all make it through. :)
