Well, we had a blast at Worlds of Fun yesterday! :) It was so great to see John & Robin and their kiddos: Christian, Andrew, Lena, Clayton, & Lincoln! It'd been 2 yrs. since we'd seen them, so it was nice to get to hang out together for awhile! :)
We ended up spending almost 9 hours at the park! Whew -- all us adults were TIRED, but the kiddos could have probably stayed another couple hours just fine! lol
It was so wierd to go back after about 15+ years. So many things seemed the same and so many things seemed so different. It was a BEAUTFIFUL day -- kinda hot and muggy at first, but then it cooled off and was so great! And, up until about suppertime, it was not crowded at all! So, many times the kids would ride something and then get off and immediately get back on for another ride. The lines were so short, if there was a line at all! I was shocked at that -- not sure if it's the economy or what, but it was a blessing! :)
Us adults were laughing all day because -- wowsers, our stomachs can't quite handle what they used to when we were a lot younger! lol John and his daring son Christian went on all the crazy roller coasters -- although, I'm thinking John was wishing he hadn't of as his stomach was quite unsettled all day! lol And, the rest of us went on most of the other ones. Some that I thought wouldn't be bad -- WERE! And, others that I thought might be, weren't too bad.
It was such a fun day together and it was just great to get to hang out with their family. Nate had a ball! He loved every moment of it! But, he was so tired on the way home as he ran and ran all day!
And, the funny thing is -- it's 7:45am right now -- and he's still asleep! lol He NEVER sleeps in -- maybe I should take him to WOF more often! lol
