We had everyone here Friday night, overnight and it all went GREAT! The kids were awesome and it just went so smoothly. We had places for everyone and they were so kind, respectful, and gracious. :) Breakfast on Saturday went well, and I didn't even burn anything! Wooohoooo! LOL I did overplan; however, so we had a whole extra 9x13" of cinnamon rolls! So, we decided to take them to our neighbor's house (at 7:15am on a Saturday morning!
). But, they have 4 kids and they were thrilled to have straight-out-of-the-oven, hot, fresh cinnamon rolls for a Saturday morning treat! (Later we found out that the Mom had the flu, so it was an extra special blessing to her to have her family taken care of! YEAH!)From what we hear, the Acquire The Fire went great. Steve thinks he's a little old for some of the bands! LOL
But, it went well and God seemed to be working deep in the youth's hearts, challenging them to live sold out lives for Him alone! YEAH! :)Then, yesterday (Sunday), we decided to surprise Steve's family and drive out to the community where the kids are all from. Steve's parents were there, so we headed out early Sunday morning and got there in time for church. Then, we went to his cousin's house, Ron & MariNelle and we had lunch with their family, Steve's parents, his Aunt Linda and her entire family, and others. There were so many people and Ron and MariNelle graciously hosted everyone. It was so wonderful to get to hang out together, fellowship and just 'do life' together. Several of them we hadn't seen for almost 3 years, so it was so fun to surprise them and go there!
We got home last night about 6:15pm and crashed! It was a long, crazy-busy weekend, but we loved every moment of it!!!!! :)

Sounds like you are quite the hosts and had a wonderful weekend. Also, yes - Chester or any pet can truly teach us what love is about and the confidence we need to place in Him. Thanks for sharing.
