Chester

We're really enjoying having Chester back home! Isn't he so cute?! :-) He's loving the huge back yard and all the room to run, that's for sure! Although, it's been quite interesting to watch him as he tries to figure this all out! He's kinda 'jumpy' and barks or jumps at any new 'noise' as everything's so new to him. And, last night when Steve came home, I said, "Daddy's home!" like I always have and the poor dog ran to all three doors -- front door, back door, garage door and then he ran to both front windows -- he couldn't figure out which door Steve was going to be coming into! LOL

He also gave us quite a scare yesterday. Brennan let him out into the backyard and then all of a sudden runs in screaming, "MOM! Come quick -- Chester got out the door! It wasn't closed all the way!" Yikes! Sure enough -- the fence door hadn't gotten latched all the way -- something we'll have to make sure we do from now on before he's let out! LOL Thankfully, he didn't go too far and Brennan coaxed him to come back to our yard! YEAH!

It's a 'double yeah' because we haven't registered him yet -- need to get the vet records sent to us and get him registered here in Lenexa. We found out that if he gets out and is sent to the animal shelter and we have to get him out, it will cost us $300 to get him, if he's not registered! Yikes -- guess we'll be registering him really soon! :-)
