Christ-Life! :)

I'd like to ask you all to pray for us tomorrow morning (Saturday), if you think of it! :)

Steve and I have been asked to come and start Christ-Life at the Teen Challenge Girls' Academy, here in KC! We are really excited, but kind of nervous, too, because: a) It's been 1 1/2 years since we have done a group and b) We've NEVER done just teenagers!!! LOL

But, Christ-Life totally changed our lives, and having been the Directors at our church in Iowa, we have seen it profoundly change so many other people's lives!!! We are thrilled that they chose to contact us and ask us to bring it to the KC center! We have missed being involved with CL and are so excited for this privilege and opportunity because we know God is going to do amazing things in these girls' lives! It's always so awesome to watch Him do what He loves to do and heal the hearts and lives of His children!

So, if you think of it, please pray for us as we meet with 5 teenage girls, every Saturday morning, for the next 8 weeks! Thanks!

And, if anyone doesn't know yet what Christ-Life is and is wondered what I'm talking about, you can check out this link: www.christlifesolution.org I would encourage ANYONE to go through this amazing discipleship ministry. It truly changed our lives and again, we've seen it change countless church and non-churched individuals! Here's the beginning quote from their web site:

"If Christ has set us free, why are so many Christians still in bondage? How can it be that people quote scripture about how God loves them and forgives them, but they still feel guilt over something that they did years ago? Or still feel unloved? Or maybe just don’t feel like they are good enough? The Christ-Life Solution is a discipleship ministry focused on helping participants move past head knowledge into an incredible love relationship with God. This life transforming process takes place in three phases."

Anyway -- please pray for us, and for the girls -- that their hearts would be open to us, to each other, and to whatever God wants to do in their lives during these 8 weeks! Thanks!
