Interesting Read: http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/americas/03/31/cuba.hotels/index.html
Having been to Cuba, the news that I just read is 'interesting' to me. It really is TRUE -- Cubans make about $20/month OR LESS per MONTH. It is also very true, that Cubans cannot stay in a hotel. Recently, when a friend was on a ministry trip there, she stayed in a hotel, but the Cubans helping her, got permisson to only enter the front doors, but could not go any further. It was so sad. They can actually be arrested for being on the property of these places where tourists would go!
I'm glad Cuba is making small changes, but as the report states -- to the average Cuban, they won't be able to afford any of the changes -- but, it's still great to hear they at least have the 'right' now.
