Here's my beautiful 97-year-old grandma! We were delighted that she could come, too!
Steve and Dad replacing our kitchen faucet. Dad did many projects for us around the house! It's amazing how much more quickly he can replace/fix things than we can! Our 'to do list' kept growing as the day went on and he kept right up, replacing or fixing things and crossing them off the list!
Here we are in 'all our glory' -- drinking coffee on the back patio in the EARLY morning! We stayed out there chatting from about 6:30 - 9:30am and enjoyed our time together!!! I told them I wouldn't put this non-showered, non-cleaned up, with glasses and no hair combing photo on here, but hey -- it's the REAL us! LOL
Here we took them to Shawnee Park and climbed the high tower and looked all out over the KC area. It's BEAUTIFUL and you can see for MILES! (Notice Mom and Grandma did not come up the several flights of stairs....of course, Grandma couldn't walk that far, understandably......and my Mom, well........she's not one for heights! And, staying with Grandma is a great excuse for her to remain in the van, ON THE GROUND! LOL LOL Oh.........wait a minute, Mom says if there would have been an ELEVATOR she would have come up! Hmmmm..........LOL!)
Here we are enjoying some yummy chocolate zucchini cake and homemade apple pie! YUM!
